Welcome! I’m Kim, a creative director and photographer based in Adelaide, South Australia.

But really it is so much more than that! I live and breathe the creativity surrounding the fashion industry!

Before discovering my love for the creative process around creating a photoshoot I worked as a Fashion Merchandise Planner, living ‘the glamorous life’ in London. Later deciding to settle down in Australia led me into the role of Jewellery Buyer, so I understand both the ‘commercial’ side as well as the artistic element involved in creating a great selling fashion campaign.

It was only a few years ago that I stumbled upon my passion for the creating, styling and executing editorial and fashion photoshoots, and it was a love at first sight!

The best way to describe how I feel about what I do is summed up perfectly with this quote by Ansel Adams:

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”

My work has been published in a number of international magazines, both online and in print.

In addition to my freelance directing/photography I am currently working with Fil Magazine to create the fashion editorials for their publication on an ongoing basis. I also regularly contribute a monthly inspiration piece on The Fashion Photography Podcast blog.
